1. Intended Purpose
Paramind is an AI-powered education and training support tool designed to help UK paramedics, newly qualified paramedics (NQPs), and student paramedics practise and improve clinical reasoning, structured communication, and revision of UK pre-hospital care concepts.
Paramind provides:
- Interactive simulated scenarios for learning and reflection
- Learning explanations and signposting to official guidance sources (e.g., Trust protocols / JRCalc)
- Practice templates for structured handovers (e.g., ATMIST) for simulation/training use
2. Target Users and Use Environment
- Users: Student paramedics, NQPs, and registered paramedics using the tool for learning/revision
- Environment: Non-clinical learning settings (home study, classroom, station-based learning, supervised teaching sessions)
- No patient population: Not intended to process or rely on real patient data; users must not enter identifiable patient information
3. Not Intended For (Explicit Exclusions)
Paramind is not intended to be used for any medical purpose such as diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction/prognosis, treatment, or alleviation of disease or injury, and is not intended for real-time clinical decision-making.
Specifically, Paramind must NOT be used for:
- Treatment decisions, medication selection, dosing, or definitive management plans
- Triage, prioritisation, or determining the need for urgent care
- Generating instructions to be followed for a real patient or use during live patient care
- Replacing professional clinical judgment, senior advice, Trust guidelines, or JRCalc
4. AI Limitations and Accuracy
Paramind uses artificial intelligence which can and does make mistakes. By using this Service, you acknowledge and accept that:
- AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated
- All outputs should be treated as learning content only
- You must verify all information against official sources, including your Trust guidelines and your own JRCalc app
- Paramind and its operators accept no responsibility or liability for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
5. User Responsibility
Users remain fully responsible for their own clinical decisions and must not rely on Paramind during patient care. For all treatment and management guidance, you must refer to:
- Your Trust's clinical guidelines and protocols
- Your own JRCalc app for the most up-to-date guidance
- Senior clinical advice when appropriate
6. Change Control
Any change to marketing claims or features that could influence clinical decisions requires review of this statement and safety controls.
